John Wayne Gacy (Killer Clown)
John Wayne Gacy (The Killer Clown) was an American serial killer and sex offender who raped, tortured, and murdered at least 33 young men and boys between 1972 and 1978. Known as the “Killer Clown” due to his public performances as “Pogo the Clown” at charitable events and children’s parties, Gacy’s crimes shocked the nation upon their discovery.
Born on March 17, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, Gacy had a troubled upbringing marked by an abusive father and feelings of inadequacy. Despite these early challenges, he became a successful contractor and active community member, even meeting First Lady Rosalynn Carter. However, beneath this façade, Gacy committed heinous crimes, luring victims to his home where he would sexually assault and murder them.
I should never have been convicted of anything more serious than running a cemetery without a license.

Gacy’s crimes were discovered after the disappearance of 15-year-old Robert Piest, leading to a police investigation that uncovered the remains of 29 victims buried in the crawl space of Gacy’s home. He was arrested in December 1978, convicted of 33 murders, and sentenced to death. Gacy was executed by lethal injection on May 10, 1994. His case remains one of the most horrifying examples of serial murder in American history.
You know… clowns can get away with murder.
